34th Wedding Anniversary
I had the wonderful opportunity over the weekend to provide a Couple's Retreat dinner for Brian and Bobbi Voss who celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on March 27.
The pleasant Massachusetts couple enjoyed a candlelight meal in the Spring Suite sitting room of fresh green leaf salad w/handmade croutons, shrimp over linguini w/cream sauce, vanilla ice cream w/chocolate dipped strawberries and sparkling grape juice along with handmade chocolate truffle squares.
It was a pleasure talking with them, and I wish Mr & Mrs Voss many more years together.
Celebrating 50 Years
Ted & Nancy Southerland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2014. I had the pleasure of meeting these two nice people from Adrian, Michigan when they arrived to stay in the Grand Trunk caboose last night. I fixed them an anniversary meal of roasted cornish hen, steamed garden fresh vegetables, black olives, rice, homemade wheat rolls and sparkling grape juice. Later out by the fire they enjoyed chocolate walnut mug cake and coffee. It was wonderful to hear how they met and their life together. I wish them many more years.

I am working on creating more unique packages to offer guests. If you have any ideas that would interest you, leave a comment here or submit an inquiry form. I would love to read your ideas. Thank you.
A Room With a View
My favorite time of year is spring, and the month of May. Every morning is a treat when I sit at the kitchen table and look out the window upon my world. The much needed rain this morning enhanced the fresh mowed grass and fragrant plum blossoms, with the Grand Trunk caboose in the background. I wish May would last longer than a month.
Read all about it here. Our very first article in the newspaper. Thank you to Karen Gruber of the Midland Daily News.
New Addition to Nestle Inn B&B
On March 5, 2013 the ground breaking began here at Nestle Inn for the installation of a Grand Trunk caboose owned by Sandra Vining. You can see the photos here of the prep and set. We have a lot of work to make it look presentable. In the meantime, having a caboose as a lawn ornament takes some getting used to. But I think we can manage.

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp pure vanilla
